Safe Routes to School Plan
The City of Floodwood is committed to making it safer and easier for children and families to walk and bike to school. In partnership with the Arrowhead Regional Development Commission (ARDC), Floodwood School, and Floodwood Services and Training, the City has completed a Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Plan and accompanying Infrastructure Recommendations.
These documents identify existing conditions, community priorities, and recommended improvements designed to enhance pedestrian and bicycle safety, improve accessibility, and encourage active transportation throughout the community. The plans will also help guide future infrastructure investments and strengthen applications for state and federal grant funding.
Residents are encouraged to review the documents below to learn more about the recommendations and the shared vision for creating safer routes for everyone in Floodwood.
